I have created another shadow box, this time as a pair of 4" x 4". I started the project with a quick sketch of two images, meant to be opposites of each other I researched images online, from my vast reference pics taken from magazines, and personal photos. I came up with some images similar to my imagined artworks. In the column pic you can see I wrote 60%, because it had to be sized to fit from the original. I printed it off and then cut and pasted to create two archways with three columns. The pink swirls were not originally pink - I changed them in my computer. It became the floor that you see in the original sketch that I thought may be a rug! I used the tile floor in the other pic for the other shadow box. In the portrait by Bergere, I switched the direction of the head, so that she looks left. You can see that the left image now has the rose climbing the column, when in the original sketch the rose was in the right image. I'm showing this pair of shadow boxes at the LOOK Show in Uptown Mall, May 1 - 30, 2014!
